What is God speaking to you today? Can you hear His voice? Are you still long enough to pay attention? Better yet...would you recognize His voice?

These are questions I never thought to ask myself until recently. I have often wondered what it was like to hear God's voice. Was it a booming sound? Was it a gentle whisper? Was it monotone?

My pastor recently challenged our church to be diligent in reading our bibles for 21 days. NewSpring actually provided a 21-day reading plan and asked that each person have accountability for their daily reading of the Bible. As he stated, the only way to hear God clearly is become familiar with Him and the only way to become familiar with Him is to know His heart. To know His heart is to read His word, His promises and His prophesy for your lives.

Have you ever known someone so well you could finish their sentences? Or you just knew what they were thinking, feeling and how they would react to a certain situation? Wouldn't life be much less complicated if we had that type of relationship with Jesus? Hmmm.....
